As per the announcement on Sunday (May 10, 2020) by Indian Railways, that they will resume 15 Air Conditioned (AC) express trains services from May 12.
IRCTC has also declared that tickets can only be booked online via the IRCTC website or through the Mobile App of IRCTC.Mr.Piyush Goyal, Minister of Railways and Commerce & Industry, Government of India has also confirmed the same on his Official Twitter Handle.

The online booking for the trains will resume from 4 pm on Monday.

Booking tickets through agents of IRCTC or Railways will not be accepted, ticket counters at railway stations will not be opened either.

“Only passengers with valid confirmed tickets will be allowed to enter the railway stations. It will be mandatory for the passengers to wear face cover and undergo screening at departure and only asymptomatic passengers will be allowed to board the train. Further details including train schedule will be issued separately in due course,” the railways said.
Also, Indian Railways will start more special services on new routes, based on the available coaches after reserving 20,000 coaches for COVID-19 care centers and an adequate number of coaches being reserved to enable operation of up to 300 trains every day as Shramik Special for stranded migrants.
Note: Existing 'Shramik Special' Indian Railways trains will continue to run on the request of the concerned State governments

Important things to be taken note of :
- Maximum Advance Reservation Period (ARP) will be of a maximum of 7 days
- The passengers shall reach the station at least 90 minutes in advance to facilitate thermal screening at the station
- No Linen, blankets, and curtains shall be provided inside the train. Passengers are advised to carry their own linen
- Online cancellation shall be permitted up to 24hrs before the scheduled departure of the train. No cancellation permitted less than 24 hrs before departure of the train. The cancellation charge shall be 50% of the fare.
- All passengers are advised to download and use the Aarogya Setu application.
- No stalls/ booths on the platforms shall be opened. No train side vending would be permitted. Passengers are advised to travel light.
- Passengers are encouraged to carry their own food and drinking water. Dry, ready-to-eat food and bottled water shall be provided on demand, inside the trains on a payment basis.
